I am honestly so glad I found this restaurant!! This is by far the best fish and chips I have had. The batter is crunchy and light, and you still taste the fish too. We also got an order of their cheesy bread, which was really really cheese (and a little too heavy that we couldn't eat them all). I probably won't order the cheesy bread again.
This restaurant is located inside the San Pedro Square Market, so expect to place your order and find a table to sit and eat somewhere inside or outside. I would highly recommend trying Anchor's for their fish and chips!
I was craving some oysters while we were in San Jose. I found this cute little spot inside of the food hall. This is a good place if you want to just grab and go something or just hang out for a little bit.
I got the Rockefeller oysters because the chef recommended it. It did not disappoint! I would definitely get this again. My partner also agreed it's probably the best oysters he's ever had! The team here was really friendly and the chef was extremely knowledgeable!
BEST CLAM CHOWDER! I did not expect to come here and have the best clam chowder ever and look at me now!
I also had the shrimp po boy. I wouldn't call this a classic po boy. There wasn't a lot of shrimp, and even though the 4 shrimps they gave were large, it wasn't what you'd expect for a po boy, especially not for the price. The breading on the shrimp was soft, so that combined with the bread of the sandwich itself felt like a little much. The sauce on it was great. I'd try something else next time but I still enjoyed it!
I'll definitely be back! I mean someone's gotta eat that chowder.
